Uravu strives for Sustainable Development through programs aimed at augmenting the natural resource base, upgrading local resource processing skills, introducing Appropriate Technologies, producing value-added products from local resources and marketing environment-friendly products and goods in various markets.

Uravu runs a Crafts Centre for bamboo craft and a bamboo nursery in Thrikkaipetta village and two sales outlets in Wayanad district. Uravu also participates in various craft and trade fairs across the country.
